5 things every vegan should have in their pantry

Here are 5 things that every vegan should have in their kitchen cabinet. 

Coconut Aminos- a salty savory seasoning sauce made from the fermented sap of coconut palm. It is a soy- free, wheat -free replacement for soy sauce and soy minos. I use it to help season vegetables, soups, and sauces.

 

Raw cashew nuts- I use these to make cashew nut “ricotta cheese” replacement for my ziti lasagna

 

Almond Flour—I use this to replace unbleached flour when I am making gluten-free cornbread.

 

Flax meal—I use flax meal to replace eggs for the vegan cornbread and spinach parmesan bread; 1 tablespoon flax meal and 3 tablespoons of filtered water are used.

Chia seeds- Ground chia seed meal can also be used to replace eggs using 1 tablespoon of the meal and 3 tablespoons of filtered water
